The City of Živinice is Bosnia and Herzegovina in a nutshell, a mirror of the beautiful diversity and significant historical wealth that can be read through numerous legacies and monumental testimonies in the form of necropolises of stećak tombstones, industrial heritage and other significant buildings. One example are religious buildings that separately tell stories about ancient times and the historical significance of this area, which has interpolated all the fullness of diversity into itself and made it its symbol.
In Živinice, in the area of Džebari, there is the widely known Džebar Mosque, the oldest in the Tuzla Canton, and one of the oldest in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was built in 1463 during the reign of Sultan Mehmed II El-Fatih. There are several versions that speak of its origin.
In the beautiful ambience of the century-old forest, lays the oldest mosque after the one in Džebari - the Old Mosque in Priluk.
According to written records, the builders of the mosque and its waqifi, Sheikh Hasan and Sheikh Mustafa, built this mosque in 1735-1736.
"Through archival documents and research, Sheikh Hasan was identified as Captain of the Tuzla Captaincy and Sheikh Mustafa as a military effendy, Sheikh from the Tuzla Fortress," explained Azaudin Effendi Sakic, imam of the New Mosque in Priluk, which is located near the Old Mosque.
After the initiative of dr. Suadin Strašević and after collecting documentation, the Old Mosque in Priluk was declared a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina on November 8, 2013 and a good of the greatest value.
Chapel of St. Ante Padovanski is a pearl of culture. It is located at the entrance to the city zone, and has been here for over a hundred years. With its unique minimalist aesthetic, this building retains the view of all passers-by.
It is the oldest preserved sacral Catholic building. It was built in 1912 by Anto and Mijo Tadić on their land and gave it to the Church.
It was restored in 2014 and since then a St. mass is celebrated on memorial day for St. Ante and Padovanski and Pustinjak.
Parish Sv. John the Baptist in Živinice is located in the northeastern part of Bosnia, in Sprečko polje, under the mountain Konjuh, at an altitude of 210 meters.

Church of St. John the Baptist is located in a settlement called North in a quiet environment without traffic noise and commotion. Permit for its construction was issued near the end of the 20th century and then construction began.
Its beauty is further reflected in the unique architectural edifice.
Church of St. Anne belongs to the parish of Par Selo and was founded in 1986 by separating from the parish of Morančani. It includes the settlements of Par Selo, Donje Dubrave, Pasci and Spreča. The patron saint of the parish is St. Ana (July 26) It belongs to the Vrhbosna Archdiocese and the Tuzla Deanery. The church is located on the border between Živinice-Donji Dubrave and Par Selo (Tuzla).
It is located right next to the Živinice-Dubrava roundabout.
Old Catholic Church of St. Marija is the only Old Catholic church in Bosnia and Herzegovina that dates back to 1924. It is located in the area of Živinice in Dubrave Donji, only a hundred meters from the church of Sv. Ana, on the right side of the road Živinica-Dubrave.
Orthodox Church in the village of Podgajevi, was built, according to one source, in 1906 and gathered believers from more than 20 villages from the area of several municipalities of Tuzla Canton.
The temple of The descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles in Podgajevi was built and sanctified in 1910.
In the past war, the temple was devastated, and since 2014, a comprehensive renovation of the temple has begun.
The old mosque in Lukavica Gornja was built in 1879/1880. The building itself is plastered with travertine sand and calx. The foundations are made of stone, and it is also has a recognizable wooden porch similar to the one in the Džebar mosque. The minaret is wooden as well as the roof, which is covered with shingles.
All the beauty of this old sacral building is depicted by every visitor as an indescribable experience.

Old Mosque in Živinice Gornji has existed since 1937, and is one of the oldest mosques in Živinice.
In the past, it had the function of a city mosque. Due to the dilapidated condition, the building was not in use for a long time. During 2020, with the help of the Majlis of the Islamic Community, the City of Živinice, Mayor Samir Kamenjaković, numerous congregation members and donors, the renovation of the Old Mosque began. The building is recognizable by its stonewalls, with a hipped roof and minimalist architecture in the tradition style of old Bosnian construction.
